Spectra was incorporated in 1993 specializing in permanent placement. That is what makes Spectra Temps® unique. Starting here conditioned us to be thorough in the candidate selection process and allowed us to focus on the client/candidate matching process, a key factor in both permanent and temporary placement. For over 12 years now, we have been offering temporary staffing to our clients with the same quality service they would expect from a permanent placement agency and that gives you the advantage over the competition.
Spectra Temps® chooses candidates with the skills you need to keep your business running smoothly. We utilize extensive interviewing, skills testing, and referencing in order to deliver a qualified candidate to fill your position.
Our system of choice is "The Qwiz Testing & Training System, Inc." The quiz allows us to thoroughly test the candidates depth of knowledge in Access, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect 6.0, and Lotus using Windows. These tests are calculated on a percent correct score and designates beginner, intermediate and advanced level questions. Data and keyboarding is scored for speed and error rate.

Spectra Temps® offers a practical and convenient temp-to-hire program that allows you to "try before you hire." If you find that a temporary candidate is suited for a permanent position within your firm, he or she may be hired from us for a reasonable conversion fee.

Meet Our StaffKerry M. Tracey, PresidentKerry Tracey opened Tracey Associates in 1987. The firm's focus was permanent placement of management level and office staff to serve companies in the Rhode Island area. In 1993 she diversified her business to afford clients the advantage of temporary staffing. As a working owner Kerry is involved in every facet of the business, from sales, public relations and servicing accounts to interviewing and placing candidates on a permanent or temporary basis. Joan Kopels, Senior Consultant Joan has 8 years of recruiting and sales experience with a Fortune 500 company. She recently joined the Spectra Temps® family to help Kerry manage the client/candidate relationships. Joan is in charge of initial interviews with prospective employees and employers.
Tilly has a total of 20 years of Human Resources/Recruiting experience. She
spent 8 years as a Human Resources Representative at The Monet Group, 10
years at a regional staffing agency as the Branch Manager/Senior Recruiter,
and 2 years at another agency as a Senior Recruiter/Supervisor - where she
was also in charge of business development. She joined the Spectra Temps®
team last year and is second in command to the President, Kerry Tracey. Tilly
is fluent in four languages - English, Spanish, Cape Verdean, and
Portuguese. Her enthusiasm shows in her dedication to business development
and in consistently assisting candidates in attaining their career goals.
Barbara Deitrich, Office ManagerBarbara has 20 years of office experience, the last 10 with Spectra Temps®. Barbara coordinates the payroll and billing, as well as administrative duties. Contact Information
